Position Summary
This role is responsible to sort and distribute incoming mail, process and ship outgoing mail/packages, and complete copy and print requests. May be responsible to assist with other areas, depending on assigned location.
Here's What You'll Do
- Sort incoming mail for distribution to various departments and deliver incoming packages to departments.
- Pick up and drop off parcels for off-site meetings as necessary.
- Responsible for processing outgoing mail requests and shipping packages.
- Work with requestor to understand mailing requirements and to determine best shipping/mailing method (i.e., standard delivery, overnight, etc.).
- Operate mailing machine, UPS parcel system and check inserter for outgoing mail/packages. Ensure a thorough understanding of request and mailing machine to set up and process jobs accurately.
- Maintain department copiers and print areas to include replace toners, stock paper, etc.
- Coordinate retrieval of boxes and replacement of boxes at off-site storage facilities.
- May assist departments with filing records in offsite retrieval boxes; assist with office space requests (cube/office changes).
- Responsibilities may vary depending on assigned location and department needs.
- Operate printer and processing of computer-generated reports and routine maintenance of such.
- Assist with office furniture needs as requested; coordinate and drop of furniture for repairs and assist with setting up and/or moving office furniture.
- Assist with general facility maintenance (i.e., monitor energy management system, shovel sidewalks, complete minor repairs and maintenance, etc.) as necessary; may be required to maintain facilities equipment service records, provide guidance to outsourced janitorial staff and order janitorial supplies.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Here's What You'll Need
- High School Diploma (Preferred) or equivalent: GED (strongly preferred).
- One year mailroom/copy center experience strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
- Good reading, comprehension and problem-solving skills.
- Good customer service skills: must be able to listen to and understand print, copy and mail requests.
- Must be able to learn the functionality of printers and copiers to effectively process requests or understand mainframe printing systems, depending on work location/department.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to lift 52 pounds on a semi-regular basis to deliver paper cases; ability to lift or push/pull pallets weighing more than 52 pounds with assistance as needed for office space/furniture requests or deliveries.
