Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior IT Support Specialist to join our healthcare IT team. This role is critical in providing Level 2 technical support for applications, devices, and systems across SRHS. You will work with networks, client/server systems, desktops, software, and peripherals, while ensuring compliance with SRHS and IT policies. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multiple departments, lead projects, and share knowledge through training and documentation.

What You Will Do

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex technical issues.
  • Manage OS image creation, deployment strategies, and rollout processes.
  • Lead and manage desktop-related projects such as hardware rollouts and software deployments.
  • Support and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, peripherals, printers, and wireless devices.
  • Maintain and update Active Directory user and computer management tools.
  • Log and track issues in the problem management database and maintain documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison between desktop support and other IT teams for projects and initiatives.
  • Provide training and documentation to strengthen the technical skills of team members.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call support for priority incidents.
  • Assist in developing long-term strategies for desktop hardware and software needs.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree in a related field
  • High school diploma with 5 years of technical experience accepted in lieu of degree

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year leading desktop-related projects with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Strong understanding of Windows image creation and rollout processes
  • Proficiency in Active Directory user and computer management
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting PC-based applications including Microsoft Windows and Office
  • Experience supporting wireless devices and smart mobile devices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • 5+ years of desktop support experience
  • 3+ years of Windows imaging and rollout experience
  • Basic scripting knowledge and Windows Group Policy fundamentals
  • MCSE: Desktop Infrastructure certification
