ITSM Analyst I

Now, we are seeking an ITSM Analyst I—an entry-level systems analyst ready to learn, grow, and contribute to our mission by ensuring our IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and applications run smoothly. This role is the perfect fit for someone eager to build a strong foundation in healthcare IT while making a real difference in the reliability, efficiency, and security of our systems.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a first point of contact for Tier 1 application support—responding to user inquiries, resolving low to moderate complexity issues, and escalating when needed.
- Collaborate with business units to understand workflows, analyze processes, and recommend improvements that support organizational goals.
- Perform application access management, including user setups, role-based changes, and terminations.
- Support incident management by tracking, triaging, resolving, and documenting issues to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Assist with routine system maintenance, configuration updates, hot fixes, patches, and minor upgrades.
- Maintain accurate system documentation—release notes, test plans, known issues—in designated repositories.
- Participate in system testing, from creating and executing test plans to validating results.
- Provide training and knowledge-sharing to end users and new IT team members.
- Interpret vendor documentation and apply updates or fixes to maintain operational stability.
- Assist with incident trend analysis and root cause investigations under senior team guidance.
- Modify existing system reports and assist with basic configuration changes.
- Monitor ITSM tools to manage incident lifecycles and ensure cross-team communication.
- Support information security practices by maintaining system integrity, monitoring compliance, and managing access controls.
- Stay up to date on healthcare IT developments, trends, and best practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Studies, Mathematics, or related field.
Experience
- 2+ years of IT experience.
- Healthcare IT experience with working knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and healthcare operational needs.
- Understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
- Ability to configure ITSM workflows, service catalogs, and CMDBs.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and generating actionable insights.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, security, and service excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 3+ years of ITSM platform administration and analysis experience.
- 7–10 years of related IT experience and/or relevant IT certifications.
- Experience with clinical systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
- Familiarity with healthcare cybersecurity standards.
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
