We are seeking a Financial Analyst II to join our Physician Services team. In this role, you will play a critical part in analyzing physician productivity and compensation for our Medical Group of the Carolinas (MGC) employed providers. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with leaders and physicians across the health system, providing data-driven insights that impact compensation strategy and operational decisions.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, enjoys working with complex financial models, and wants to make a meaningful contribution to the financial stewardship of a leading healthcare system. With minimal supervision, you'll use advanced financial tools to evaluate trends, validate statements, and help ensure our compensation practices remain competitive, compliant, and equitable.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Experience:
2 years of accounting or finance experience
At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong knowledge of database programs
Education: Master's degree in a business-related field
Analyze physician productivity metrics and compensation calculations
Process physician payments accurately through the payroll system
Review and interpret financial statements for accuracy and clarity
Evaluate revenues and expenditures to identify trends, variances, and opportunities
Review contracts and manage payments for independent physician groups
Conduct project-based analyses related to revenue and expense optimization
Prepare contract models and perform benchmarking analysis
Collaborate and communicate effectively with management and physicians
Interpret and review contractual agreements to ensure compliance and alignment
Contribute to other projects and duties as assigned
