Senior HR Generalist – Shared Services (Poland/EMEA) - Mobility
S&P Global has recently announced the intent to separate our Mobility Segment into a standalone public company.
The Senior HR Specialist – Shared Services (Poland) is a core operational HR role based in Poland, responsible for supporting HR Shared Services delivery for the Polish employee population, including lifecycle operations, data governance, HR inquiry triage, and engagement on employment-related matters.
As the HR Shared Services function continues to evolve, this role is expected to work closely with HR Business Partners, Legal, HR COEs, to ensure accurate, compliant, and consistent HR operations — and provide best-in-class HR support across Poland, with the potential to extend support to other EMEA countries over time.
What You'll Do
HR Shared Services & Data Governance
- Ensure accurate HR data in HRIS (e.g., Workday) for Polish employees including hire changes, leaves, terminations, and statutory data elements.
- Oversee and validate HR transactions processed through global shared services, payroll vendors, and external partners to maintain data quality and compliance.
- Act as the local escalation point for HR operational issues or data discrepancies in Poland, interfacing with HR Technology and Shared Services to correct and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain and evolve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and controls tailored for Poland's HR statutory requirements (e.g., employment filings, statutory leave, data privacy).
Employee & Manager Support
- Serve as a senior HR contact for employees and managers in Poland, addressing HR policy, process, and system inquiries with clarity and responsiveness.
- Triage HR requests and concerns to the appropriate resolution path — shared services transaction execution, HRBP, Legal — with clear communication and turnaround expectations.
- Provide guidance to leaders on routine HR processes, performance management, and statutory HR requirements while ensuring consistency with company policies and local regulations.
Employment-Related Coordination & Compliance
- Monitor employment matters and workplace concerns in Poland; partner with HR Business Partners and Legal for appropriate escalation and handling of sensitive or medium/high-risk matters.
- Independently support low-risk employee relations matters where appropriate, ensuring documentation and transparency.
- Ensure employment documentation, case tracking, and outcome records comply with local law and Internal standards.
- Surface emerging issues or risk patterns proactively to HR leadership.
Preparation for EMEA Support Expansion
- Establish strong operational foundations, governance controls, and cross-functional partnerships that can serve as a model for HR Shared Services support to other EMEA locations.
- Document and standardize processes to enable future scaling of HR service support to other EMEA geographies.
- Participate in cross-region training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement efforts as the HR Shared Services scope evolves.
Reporting, Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Produce and maintain recurring HR reports such as headcount, data accuracy metrics, service delivery KPIs, and inquiries/escalations.
- Analyze patterns to identify risks, compliance gaps, or areas for operational improvement.
- Partner with Shared Services, HRIS, and HR Business Partners to propose and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
