S&P Global offers the greatest breadth of broker content, including detailed models via Visible Alpha consensus and real-time investment research from the world's most respected investment banks, and we are continuing to expand. As Senior Director, you will be a key member on the Contributor Relations team, leading the talented and experienced EMEA and APAC teams and managing front, middle and back-office relationships with S&P Global's sell-side research providers. In addition, our team drives user adoption, in concert with commercial account teams, of S&P Global's suite of products designed for research analysts.
Responsibilities and Impact
Develop strategy and plan to execute content acquisition and retention across multiple markets. Responsible for achieving targets set by head of Contributor Research
Manage content acquisition for targeted content providers, engaging with senior leadership and key stakeholders to secure distribution agreements. Engage with strategic clients to determine user demand requirements and content feedback.
Act as the central contact point and relationship manager for designated contributor accounts, responsible for growing product adoption within Equity Research & Sales, identifying new content sets for Visible Alpha and referring new ACV business opportunities to colleagues in Sales
Identify business trends and translate information into talking points and actionable recommendations to senior management teams
Partner with other senior managers at the organization to drive growth at new and existing contributors across all levels. Map out requirements, ROI, customer segments, market size and define measures of success
Build a high performing team that maximizes effectiveness and efficiency
Continuously build new senior relationships within the sell side and buyside community, and represent S&P Global as a thought leader in industry
Compensation
What We're Looking For
12+ years of leadership experience working in a sell-side content distribution capacity;
Prior experience in a content/vendor relationship management role;
Product experience in data & analytical solutions focused on capital markets required; experience with data & analytics used in the equity research process a plus;
Proven experience managing teams in financial services, conducting competitive market analysis, and ongoing performance management;
Verifiable history of meeting & exceeding targets as a sole contributor and leading teams across multiple regions;
Motivated to manage each stage of the pipeline including prospecting, demonstrations, managing the decision making process, and closing business;
Sales (cold-calling, pitching) experience to senior executive level and junior contacts is key;
Strong decision making ability, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
Excellent verbal, written & interpersonal skills;
Must be a self-starter, with a driven and positive attitude, with the ability to work as part of a global team
Goal driven, with the ability to meet internal & external deadlines;
Bachelor's degree required; CFA/MBA preferred but not required.
