Junior Account Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Divisional Account Management Team at S&P Global. This focused and dynamic group is dedicated to expanding our client relationships across the entire Market Intelligence portfolio of products and services. As a Junior Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and enhancing client relationships, ensuring that our offerings meet the evolving needs of our customers.

The successful candidate will be part of the European Divisional Account Management Team. This is committed to supporting our clients with innovative solutions that address their most pressing challenges across the capital markets workflow. You will need to collaborate closely with the Sales Specialists, Customer Success, Product teams, Chief Client Office and Legal teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to our clients. We value teamwork, innovation, and a proactive approach to meeting client needs.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • The Junior Account Manager will support the Senior Account Managers in building and maintaining strong relationships with Strategic Clients and independently manage developing accounts to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Being responsible for laying out account strategy and whitespace mapping
  • Manage the renewal book of business, focusing on growth and retention of existing accounts.
  • Maintain excellent Salesforce hygiene by ensuring accurate and timely updates of client interactions and account information.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and work to increase engagement across Market Intelligence products and services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure clients' needs are met and to address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Provide insights and feedback from clients to help improve product offerings and tailor solutions to market needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events and client meetings to enhance brand presence and client engagement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in account management or sales, preferably within the financial services industry for 3+ years.
  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English and French.
  • Additional European languages like German, Dutch, Spanish or Italian are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data for decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Experience with financial services or related industries is a plus.
  • A growth mindset, with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
