This role is essential for the Market Intelligence Group of S&P as it ensures the development of new software solutions and continuous improvement and stability of our existing applications. Assist in developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining web applications that support a multi-million-dollar business.
Participate in team efforts to implement software projects, providing support in frontend and backend layers
Engage with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and help in translating them into technical specifications for effective software solutions.
Adhere to best practices in data management and governance, maintaining awareness of data privacy and security policies.
Contribute to the identification, design, and implementation of process improvements.
4-6 years of software development: Solid experience in debugging, refactoring, and enhancing existing code, with an understanding of performance and scalability.
Familiarity with AWS, automated unit testing, AI, Prompt Engineering is a must.
Competency in .NET, C#, Cloud Services and Angular.
Experience with T-SQL, Postgres SQL, MS SQL Server.
Troubleshoot and diagnose user support tickets and implement solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams, including product owners and quality assurance engineers, to ensure seamless integration of new features and enhancements.
Commitment to code quality: Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code. Follow best practices and understand architectural decisions for scalable application design.
Teamwork and Agile methodology: Demonstrated ability in Agile development environments, good communication skills, and willingness to learn from senior engineers.
Support and Collaboration: Ability to support and learn from senior team members, contributing to data engineering projects and initiatives.
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
