Buy-Side Account Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Divisional Account Management Team at S&P Global. This focused and dynamic group is dedicated to expanding our client relationships across the entire Market Intelligence portfolio of products and services. As a Divisional Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and enhancing client relationships, ensuring that our offerings meet the evolving needs of our customers.

As a Divisional Account Manager, you are the primary commercial lead responsible for managing existing client accounts with a focus on net revenue growth which includes selling into and retaining the book of business, while delivering an overall positive experience for our clients.

The successful candidate will be part of the Pacific Divisional Account Management Team. The Team is committed to supporting our clients with innovative solutions that address their most pressing challenges across the capital markets workflow. You will need to collaborate closely with the Sales Specialists, Customer Success, Product teams, Chief Client Office and Legal teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to our clients.

The successful candidate needs to have the ability to engage in meaningful conversations with clients alongside delivering exceptional value and insights that help our clients navigate complex financial data landscapes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients in your defined list of accounts to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Build and execute comprehensive account strategies that identify opportunities for engagement, growth and expansion across Market Intelligence products and services.
  • Manage the renewal book of business, focusing on growth and retention of existing accounts.
  • Maintain excellent Salesforce hygiene by ensuring accurate and timely updates of client interactions and account information. This includes ensuring pipeline accuracy and forecasting results effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Sales Specialists, Customer Support, Product Management, Chief Client Office and Legal to ensure a cohesive and aligned approach to addressing client needs and maximizing upsell opportunities.
  • Provide insights and feedback from clients to help improve product offerings and tailor solutions to market needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events and client meetings to enhance brand presence and client engagement.
