The IT System Specialist will be an integral part of the ITS Infrastructure team supporting the Southwire enterprise systems and users. The ideal candidates will have experience explaining complex solutions to intricate problems and will thrive on helping people reach their goals. We're looking for team-oriented, highly motivated professionals with backgrounds in IT. It will also be required to travel when needed for SAP Go lives, acquisitions, site closures, etc. This position will cover several manufacturing locations and might require occasional travel.
• Work with IT, plant personnel, and 3rd party on installation of IT/OT equipment.
• Support Connected Factory in the plants and perform functions related to push to print systems and equipment, visual displays and testing equipment for product quality sampling
• Providing IT assistance to staff and customers
• Attend Staff and client meetings as required.
• Train end-users on hardware functionality and software programs.
• Resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma
Years of Experience: 5+ years
Field of Expertise: IT support
Minimum Education Level: Associates
Specialized Degree: IT related
Years of Experience: 8+ years
Preferred Skills, Licenses, & Certificates:
• Experience in troubleshooting Dell Latitude and Precision model PCs, Zebra label printers, mobile computers, and other IT end user devices
• Experience working in Operation center
• Experience with Network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong technical acumen and computer skills required.
• Highly motivated, results-driven self-starter with good organizational skills, keen focus on details, proven ability to meet tight deadlines and to perform in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Always maintain a high level of courteous customer service
• Great communication skills, positive attitude, and expert troubleshooting. Experience with Audio Visual equipment, setup and support
• Ability to work with cross functional teams including co-ordination with server, network, field technicians, end users , customer and project managers.
• Flexibility to work extended hours as required to meet deadlines.
• Availability for 24/7 on-call duty on a rotational basis
