Wholesale Delivery and Warehouse Manager

The Wholesale Delivery and Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the wholesale delivery and warehouse departments, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and excellent customer service. This role manages scheduling, staffing, and performance for both drivers and warehouse staff, while fostering a positive and productive work environment. The manager will also serve as a secondary backup relief driver when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee wholesale delivery operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Assign trucks to drivers based on qualifications, load requirements, and weight capacity.
• Schedule preventive maintenance (PM) and coordinate repairs for all delivery vehicles.
• Daily driver support in cases of breakdowns, accidents, and violations.
• Communicate delivery delays promptly to management, customer service, and the Director of Sales.
• Ensure all drivers have the tools, equipment, and resources needed to perform successfully.

• Onboard new wholesale customers, ensuring accurate delivery days/times are scheduled.
• Maintain customer delivery schedules and adjust as needed for route optimization.
• Foster strong business relationships with customers/distributors.

• Assign and supervise daily warehouse tasks including picking, packing, receiving, inventory management, and raw material transfers between two offsite warehouses and the production plant.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure proper storage and handling procedures.

• Manage time and attendance for wholesale drivers and warehouse employees.
• Address and resolve disciplinary issues with warehouse staff and drivers.
• Evaluate staffing levels for both departments and make recommendations for adjustments.
• Oversee a successful onboarding experience with new staff.
• Cultivate a culture of success, teamwork, and accountability.

• Serve as a secondary backup relief driver when required.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and develop practical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.

This position will operate in both warehouse and delivery environments, requiring a mix of office work, physical activity, and on-the-road driving as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B license.
• Previous management or supervisory experience in delivery and/or warehouse operations.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Thorough understanding of DOT regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in route planning and logistics optimization.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory processes.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
