The Facilities Technician is responsible for ongoing maintenance and repairs of Southern Company Gas facilities. The successful candidate will report to the Facilities Supervisor. The primary reporting location is Southern Company Gas Corporate Headquarters. The technician may provide support at other ASC locations as directed by management. Duties can vary from day-to-day, and a maintenance schedule may be implemented so time management skills are required. Facilities Technician need to have a good knowledge of building skills including HVAC, plumbing, drywall installation, painting, and general building repair. Also, Facilities Technician will need to be adept at using a variety of hand and electrical tools.
The Facilities Technician will be self-motivated and able to make critical decisions in support of the monitoring, maintenance and repair of equipment that can affect the operations of the facility.
