Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Team Opportunity

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team is looking for Principal Software Engineers to join the OCI Infrastructure Engineering Org focused on Datacenter Automation. This team is building services and tools to accelerate the process by which OCI grows its compute and network capacity. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and scalable services for managing physical assets throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing highly available and scalable services
• Managing physical assets throughout their lifecycle
• Integrating with existing systems through well-established contracts

• Lead cloud engineer with a proven track record of delivering high-scale, high-impact solutions
• Obsessed with the customer, always exceeding expectations
• Excellent communication skills, able to drive complex technical concepts
• Disciplined engineer who understands the importance of high standards
• Comfortable with ambiguity in a chaotic and fluid environment
• Passionate about technology and not afraid to defend opinions or positions

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
• Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts
• Proficient in Java or Python
• Experience building highly available services
• Experience with production operations and best practices
• Effective communication of technical ideas verbally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Experience building control plane/data plane solutions for cloud native companies
• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving performance issues

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only. US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
