Mechanical Design Engineer IV

Our client, a leader in the aerospace and energy industry, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer IV to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer IV, you will be part of the Gas Turbine Engineering organization supporting the Design Liaison Engineering (DLE) team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, collaboration, and a proactive approach to quality and innovation, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Apply mechanical engineering fundamentals to resolve manufacturing issues related to hot gas path hardware for gas turbines.
  • Utilize analytical tools to analyze hardware deviations and develop effective solutions to improve hardware quality and performance.
  • Lead hardware redesign efforts by revising drawings to enhance manufacturability and reliability.
  • Act as a technical focal point for qualification of new processes, changes, and second source suppliers.
  • Conduct technical reviews of design tasks, assess risks at various levels, and contribute to process improvements.

  • Proven experience in mechanical engineering within the aerospace or energy sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with engineering tools and software.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of gas turbine design and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
