Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Bennettsville, South Carolina to find a qualified and experienced Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join their growing team! The Manufacturing Engineering Technician is an entry-level engineering role offering opportunities for growth as company needs evolve and experience is gained. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Bennettsville facility engineer with daily engineering activities.
  • Develop, update, and improve process work instructions.
  • Evaluate and analyze manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Initiate and manage engineering change notices (ECNs).
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles.
  • Regularly communicate with the Bennettsville facility through daily video calls and virtual meetings.
  • Support the implementation of new manufacturing methods, tools, and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, both in-person and virtual.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Mechanical aptitude and foundational knowledge of engineering concepts and terminology.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, particularly for wiring harnesses and related components.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or basic skills in CAD software (AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks).
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.

Training & Development:

Comprehensive on-site training will be provided to strong candidates. A genuine desire to learn, grow, and contribute to process and product improvements is essential for success in this role. The pay rate will range between $15 - $20 depending on experience.
