This position provides financial support to programs in Charleston, SC. This is a contingent opportunity projected to start April 2024.
U.S. Citizenship and Active DoD Secret Clearance
Associate degree in engineering technology, math, or science; or formal electronics training from Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program; or High School diploma or GED.
12 years with degree/formal training or 14 years with HS/GED of practical experience to include: design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings.
Notable experience preparing designs and specifications for various complex equipment or systems
Hands on experience planning an approach to solve design problems
Experience recommending new design techniques
Knowledge of test set-ups and experiments to prove or disprove the feasibility of preliminary design
Understanding of unique operational deficiencies; plans approach and conducts various experiments to develop equipment or systems
Experience determining test procedures and design of special test equipment
Independently planning and accomplishing complete projects or studies of broad scope and complexity or serving as an expert in a narrow aspect of a particular field of engineering, e.g., environmental factors affecting electronic engineering
Individual may supervise or train and be assisted by lower-level technicians.
All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
