Engineering Assistant
Insight Global is looking for an Engineering Assistant for a large engineering consulting firm in North Charleston, NC. The ideal candidate will perform regular testing, observation, and inspection of projects. They will communicate about the project site and project requirements with the PM, other engineering technicians, and the client. They will monitor fill placements, soil placements, work with concrete cylinders, and test concrete as it's placed. At the end of each day, they will complete a digital report of their findings. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, maintain and clean equipment, and adhere to strict safety standards.
Skills and Requirements:
- High School Diploma OR GED
- Construction experience
- Comfortable working outside
- Clean background and motor vehicle report
- Good communication skills & eager to jump start a career in the engineering/consulting space
- ACI certification
- Earthwork certification
- Previous experience with sampling/testing soil and/or concrete
- Any ICC or SCDOT certification
