Position Timeframe: June 2026-December 2026

Position Locations: Aiken, SC; Des Moines, IA; Nashville, TN; Warren County, TN; Wilson, NC

Responsibilities

Electrical Engineering co-ops typically work on projects such as:

  • Designing, developing, and deploying machinery and other equipment intended to execute and improve processes
  • Programming and integrating industrial controls hardware and software for new and existing machines
  • Learn and apply PLC programming techniques and AutoCAD electrical
  • Learn and utilize key electrical manufacturing tools and systems; suggesting improvements as needed
  • Process Engineering; support specifications and standards in areas such as compound, component, curing process, or uniformity analyses
  • Plant Engineering; assist in the safe design, procurement, installation, debug, start-up and operation of plant equipment and projects
  • Product Design; utilize software and standards for accurate creation, revision, and organization of documents and distribution controls

You will also get to:

  • Assist maintenance in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant equipment
  • Apply interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with fellow teammates and achieve common goals
  • Work in a hands-on environment with cross-functional teams
  • Utilize project management skills to develop, manage, and control scope, schedule, and cost

We Are Looking For Students Who Are

  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • People-centric focus with the ability to collaborate with all teammates across the organization
  • Strong initiative, work ethic, and levels of enthusiasm
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude in major of study
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Minimum Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you need…

  • To be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or another applicable major and actively enrolled in an accredited university the semester prior to your start date
  • To be sophomore-senior level standing with a GPA of at least 3.0
  • Completed course work in Computer Aided Design (CAD)/AutoCAD
  • To be available to work 40 hours weekly in a 6-month minimum co-op assignment
  • No other work experience is required. We will teach you everything you need to know!
