Top Skills:

• 5+ years in cloud IAM or AWS security engineering roles
• Strong experience with AWS IAM, SCPs, and trust policies
• Proficiency in Terraform or AWS CDK for identity enforcement
• Experience working in an AWS environment, acting as the technical SME for cloud permissions
• Experience utilizing Wiz to identify IAM rule violations and implement proper guardrails
• Familiarity with SilverFort is a plus
• Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders and leadership

Job Duties:

Our client is looking for an experienced AWS Cloud IAM Specialist to join their Offensive Identity Team. This individual will focus on securing cloud identity infrastructure through policy design, drift remediation, and proactive threat modeling. Responsibilities include:

• Designing and optimizing IAM policies, SCPs, and trust relationships in AWS
• Enforcing identity controls using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK)
• Remediating drift in AWS Identity Center and ensuring consistent access posture
• Simulating identity-based threats and collaborating with cloud security and IAM teams
• Identifying misconfigurations and excessive permissions across AWS accounts
• Coordinating with stakeholders to find vulnerabilities and implement remediation plans

Nice to Have:

• AWS Certified Security – Specialty or equivalent
• Experience with cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud and identity-based tactics

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid role based in Fort Mill, SC. Exceptional candidates located in San Diego, CA, Austin, TX, or Tempe, AZ may also be considered. You'll be joining a newly formed team with direct access to leadership and the opportunity to influence cloud identity strategy.
