Oracle Health & Analytics Team Position

Oracle Health & Analytics team is building new healthcare services that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses in the cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best-in-class services which will help reduce the overall healthcare spend. Public Cloud SaaS, PaaS Services, IaC experience and/or cloud engineering (devops) related experience and expertise will be involved. You will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures involving next generation development and strategy for our Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Active Directory and associated core infrastructure. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or cloud services. Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Fifteen or more years of software engineering or related experience specializing in Microsoft Windows / Active Directory / Core infrastructure. As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff in our team, you'll be responsible for and lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support health care platform, applications, and our end users as well as direct strategy for the operations teams. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers. As a tech lead you will own the complete SDLC from architecture, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production. You will need to balance feature development and production KPIs. As well as share your knowledge with other team members to foster collaboration and inclusion.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems
  • Expertise in Microsoft Windows environments to include Active Directory architecture
  • Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to write great code in PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, Chef, or similar languages to achieve automation
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence full system architecture
  • Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects
  • Platform and Production Engineering knowledge
  • Core networking and DNS principles
  • Implementing Security and Compliance frameworks (HIPAA/NIST/PCI/STIG)
