What You'll Do:
Architecture and standards:
Own end-to-end reference architectures for site power (HV/MV/LV), mechanical/cooling (air, liquid, adiabatic), UPS and BESS, and building systems.
Define design envelopes for density growth (HPC/AI), modularity, and phased expansion; establish redundancy and maintainability strategies (N+1/2N).
Create and maintain design guides, specifications, and acceptance criteria aligned with global codes and best practices.
Integrated design and delivery:
Lead multidisciplinary design from concept through commissioning (L1–L5).
Validate system interactions with studies and models (load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, CFD/thermal, acoustics, structural interfaces).
Ensure seamless integration of controls (BMS/SCADA/EMS/PLC), monitoring, and alarming for safe, efficient operations.
Efficiency, sustainability, and cost:
Set and achieve targets for PUE, WUE; balance energy, water, and reliability trade-offs.
Lead TCO analysis standardization to reduce capex/opex; demand charges, and mechanical/electrical losses.
Vendor, utility, and stakeholder management:
Lead RFIs/RFPs, technical evaluations, and equipment standardization for transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, BESS, CRAH/CRAC, CDUs, adiabatic systems.
Partner with utilities on interconnection, capacity planning, and protection; plan for islanding, and microgrid control where applicable.
Influence cross-functional teams (design, construction, operations, supply chain, finance) and communicate trade-offs to executive audiences.
What You'll Bring:
12+ years of experience in data center or mission-critical facility design with significant contributions across electrical and mechanical domains.
Proven delivery of large-scale projects from concept to operations, including commissioning and integrated systems testing.
Deep knowledge of HV/MV/LV distribution, substations, UPS and BESS integration, generators, and mechanical systems (air/liquid/adiabatic cooling).
Demonstrated track record improving PUE/WUE, availability, and TCO across multi-site or multi-region programs.
Proficiency with studies and tools: power system analysis, CFD/thermal modeling, BIM/Revit, and controls integration (BMS/SCADA/EMS).
Strong vendor/OEM network; experience leading RFx, FAT/SAT, and negotiating technical requirements.
Excellent communication and influence skills; ability to drive decisions through data and clear trade-off narratives.
