We're a post-PMF B2B startup with ARR growing exponentially every month. With increasing number of customers and usage exploding, we're looking for a Head Of Engineering to help us scale our engineering team. Our current tech stack is Ruby on Rails / React / Postgres, running on a combination of Heroku and AWS services.

As we continued to grow, we're looking for an experienced Head Of Engineering to manage and lead our growing team of engineers, drive our technical vision, and help take our product to the next level. In this in-person role, you'll be instrumental in scaling our infrastructure, mentoring our engineers, and working closely with the founder to make critical product and architecture decisions. Our current tech stack includes Ruby on Rails, React, and Postgres, deployed through a mix of Heroku and AWS services.

We're a remote team that's looking to build our teams in San Francisco (CA), Austin (TX), and Tempe (AZ) locations. This will be an in-person role.

What You'll Do:

• Build & Scale: Lead the evolution of our tech stack and infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security as our customer base grows.
• Lead & Mentor: Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Strategize & Execute: Collaborate with the founder and other stakeholders to align technical efforts with business goals, delivering impactful product features on time.
• Hands-On Contribution: Balance high-level strategy with hands-on coding, especially when tackling complex issues or prototyping new solutions.

What We're Looking For:

• Deep Technical Expertise: Strong production experience with Ruby on Rails and/or React, coupled with proficiency in scaling backend systems.
• Seasoned Leadership: At least 10 years of full-time, hands-on experience in software engineering, with a minimum of >3 years managing or leading engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Product Mindset: Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into technical requirements, optimizing for both usability and performance.

Bonus If You:

• Have shipped a product end-to-end, from frontend to backend/API, and have a deep understanding of the entire development lifecycle.
• Are a self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision, capable of making sound decisions and independently driving projects to completion.
• Are tenacious and resilient, with a "whatever-it-takes" attitude for overcoming obstacles and solving complex problems.
• Have experience working directly with a founder in a startup environment, aligning engineering execution with a fast-evolving vision.
