Director, Field And Channel Marketing APAC & Japan - 12 Month Contract

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and results-driven Director, Marketing Field & Channel Programs, APJ to join our high-performing team during a critical 12-month period. This senior leadership role reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing, APJ and is pivotal to our regional success.

This role includes management of 4 direct reports and requires the ability to lead by example — executing campaigns and programs personally where needed, while also empowering and coaching the team for growth and impact. You will have full field marketing leadership responsibilities for ASEAN and ANZ, while also owning the strategic development, localization, and execution of integrated global campaigns, demand generation initiatives, and channel marketing programs across the broader Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) region.

What You Will Do - Strategic Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Lead field marketing strategy and execution for ASEAN and ANZ regions in close alignment with regional sales leadership.

Act as the primary bridge between APJ field marketing and global marketing functions, including campaigns, product marketing, digital, operations, and channel.

Drive program excellence and consistency across all APJ sub-regions, aligning global campaigns with regional go-to-market needs and sales objectives.

Collaborate with channel marketing leads and partner teams to develop and execute joint partner programs that drive channel-sourced pipeline.

Operate as a senior strategic advisor to field teams on campaign planning, execution, and performance optimization.

What You Will Do - Marketing Program Development & Execution

Own the development, localization, and rollout of integrated demand generation campaigns, including net new logo acquisition, upsell/cross-sell, and partner-led programs.

Oversee channel program development and partner marketing plans, ensuring alignment with APJ partner priorities and routes to market.

Build and maintain a data-driven view of target accounts and buyer personas, aligning campaign execution to sales territories and pipeline priorities.

Guide the execution of account-based marketing (ABX) strategies in collaboration with SDR/BDR teams, ensuring effectiveness in high-value account engagement.

What You Will Do - Data-Led Decision Making & Operational Excellence

Champion the use of data, analytics, and marketing metrics to guide decision-making and evaluate campaign performance.

Collaborate with Marketing Operations and Sales Ops to define and track KPIs including MQLs, pipeline contribution, ROI, and channel performance.

Drive a culture of continuous optimization and marketing performance improvement across the team.

Manage regional marketing budgets effectively and report on performance with transparency and accountability.

What You Will Do - Team Leadership & People Development

Inspire, mentor, and manage a team of four direct reports, cultivating a high-performance, collaborative team culture.

Provide strategic direction, development coaching, and leadership support for both direct reports and regional dotted-line team members.

Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and shared success, in alignment with global marketing strategies and the unique dynamics of the APJ region.

Operate as a player-coach, stepping in to personally lead or support the execution of key programs or initiatives where needed.

What You Will Bring

10+ years of marketing experience in B2B technology, with a strong background in field marketing, demand generation, and/or channel marketing.

Proven experience leading regional or cross-country marketing teams in complex, matrixed global organizations.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Channel, Product Marketing, and Global Campaign teams.

Deep understanding of data-driven marketing strategies, including campaign performance measurement, reporting, and optimization.

Familiarity with ABX methodologies, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and MAPs (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot).

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.

Passion for cybersecurity, challenger brands, and driving results through creativity, agility, and customer obsession.

Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage, motivate and grow high-performing regional teams.

Experience managing fixed budgets and optimizing spend for maximum return.

Exceptional project management and time management capabilities.
