As a Data Engineer, you will support the delivery of reliable data integrations from internal and external sources into the enterprise data warehouse. You will design and develop ETL/ELT components, enhance existing solutions, and ensure accurate and timely data delivery to downstream systems. This role offers the opportunity to grow your skills while contributing to the evolution of a scalable enterprise data platform.

You'll be a part of the Enterprise Data and Analytics team, that delivers Data as a Service to enable smarter, faster decision-making across the organization. Built on the Snowflake platform, we specialize in developing data pipelines using Matillion and SQL, ensuring seamless integration and reliable production support. Our team leads enterprise-wide data governance and quality initiatives, transforming raw data into trusted datasets that drive actionable insights. With a focus on scalability, performance, and innovation, we empower the business to unlock the full value of its data assets.

What You Will Do

  • Translate business and data requirements into technical solutions, designing and developing ETL components.
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Matillion and related orchestration tools.
  • Follow best practices for ETL/ELT development and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues using available tools.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support data loading and transformations.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Technical Architects to clarify requirements and propose improvements.
  • Support the ongoing development of a scalable enterprise data warehouse.
  • Assist in managing development, test, and production environments.
  • Work with the DevOps team on release activities and prepare supporting documentation.
  • Participate in peer code reviews to maintain quality standards.
  • Support testing and UAT activities for data-related deliverables.
  • Provide on-call support for incidents on a rotational basis.
  • Assist with routine maintenance, performance tuning, and ongoing support of ETL processes and the data warehouse environment.

What You Will Bring

  • 3+ years of IT experience, with a focus on ETL development in an enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of ETL design methodologies including performance tuning, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Hands-on experience with Matillion ETL.
  • Experience extracting and integrating data via APIs.
  • Strong SQL skills, including stored procedures and query optimization.
  • Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling techniques.
  • Experience working with at least one cloud data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake or AWS Redshift).
  • Familiarity with release processes and working across multiple environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new tools and technologies.
  • Exposure to Python for data processing or automation.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for building or enhancing data pipelines.
  • Awareness of Generative AI applications for data analysis (e.g., Snowflake Cortex).
  • Exposure to data quality frameworks and rule implementation.
