Engineering Manager

Sony Music's Product Design Engineering and Global Operations (PDE + GO) Team is looking for an Engineering Manager (Platform Teams) to build and evolve our platform within our ever-growing team in either our London OR Tallinn Office.

What you'll do:

Cultivate a high-performance agile development team balancing executing new features while maintaining our existing system health. Manage a team of full-stack engineers to deliver internal platforms. Hold regular 1:1s, mentor engineers, and work with contractors. Work with Directors to drive engineering vision. Work with product to develop solutions that align with business cases and strategy. Constantly improve our platforms. Experiment with new technologies and integrate them into our stack when appropriate.

Who you are:

Have experience working in an agile team. Strong organizational and analytical skills paired with the ability to drive complex projects. Interested in music and in learning the intricacies of the music business. Able to influence cross-functional teams and create a consensus between engineering teams. Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills. Experience with React/frontend JS is a plus. 2+ years in an engineering management role. 5+ years of experience building and maintaining complex software products. 5+ years in a scripting language such as Python, PHP, JavaScript, etc. Experience writing unit and integration tests. Experience reviewing code changes.
