Electronic Health Records (EHR) Specialist

The impact you'll make in this role:

  • Leading the review and alignment of Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with EHR compliance standards.
  • Implementing detailed analysis and SOP cross-referencing for EHR access and documentation.
  • Determining areas of risk, drafting recommendations, and designing approval workflows for BAA processes.
  • Supporting daily operations and compliance through audits, training, and user support for EHR platforms.
  • Willingness to be on-call to support urgent access or compliance needs.

Your skills and expertise:

  • High School Diploma/GED AND two (2) years of experience in health information management, compliance and electronic health records.
  • AND
  • Four (4) years of experience managing EHR access, compliance audits, and regulatory protocols.
  • Experience interpreting and applying HIPAA, BAA, and PHI privacy standards.
  • Experience designing and updating SOPs for health information systems.
  • Proficiency in electronic record systems and access management platforms.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's degree in Health Information Management, Public Health, or Healthcare Compliance from an accredited institution.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a regulated healthcare environment (e.g., private, public, government, or military).
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and process design skills.
  • Ability to educate and train users on compliance procedures and system best practices.

Work location: Remote. Travel: May include up to 10% domestic. Relocation Assistance: Not authorized.
