We're looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our fast-paced, collaborative engineering team. You'll play a key role in designing and optimizing scalable backend systems that power high-volume applications. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving existing systems, and mentoring others in a dynamic environment where processes are still evolving and innovation is encouraged.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain the server-side logic of applications using Java 21, Spring 6, and MariaDB.
• Implement efficient, high-performance backend code for large-scale production systems.
• Refactor existing applications to integrate a new database schema and improve scalability.
• Design and build data ingestion pipelines using the Spring Batch framework.
• Conduct performance testing, analysis, and tuning to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
• Monitor application health, uptime, and performance in production environments.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle—from concept to deployment.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure clean, maintainable code.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Batch).
• Solid understanding of relational database schema design and query optimization.
• Proven experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools and pipelines.
• Experience with performance troubleshooting and debugging tools.
• Exposure to Spring Batch (highly desirable).
• Previous experience leading or mentoring a development team.
• Experience with Docker (highly advantageous).
• Familiarity with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, SQS) is a plus.
• Experience building multi-tenant applications is an advantage.
• English level B1+ or above.
