Process Intensification Engineer (F/M/X)

Our Process Intensification team, to be created with six team members within the Research & Innovation (R&I) department, will focus on achieving significant energy and CAPEX reductions through technical leadership, expertise in equipment design, and strong collaborations with internal engineering teams, plant operations, and external partners (academic institutions and technology providers).
As a Process Intensification Engineer, you will work on developing and implementing process intensification technologies for auto-oxidation (AO) processes, designing and optimizing critical process equipment (reactors, separation systems), and contributing to advanced technology development to support efficiency, sustainability, and plant capacity improvements. You will get the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge innovation in chemical process design and have a positive impact on energy efficiency, sustainability, and product quality. You will be accountable for:
- Identifying, evaluating, and developing innovative process intensification solutions
- Designing and improving critical process equipment for AO and related technologies
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to accelerate implementation
- Ensuring all projects comply with process safety standards and best practices
- Driving innovation in heat integration, utilities consumption, and overall plant performance
We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.
Ph.D or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. Relevant work experience of minimum 2 years in process equipment intensification focused on energy and CAPEX optimization.

About the pay:
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is € 41,280 - € 64,000 per year in Italy. Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
