We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Support Engineer to join our industrial water treatment operations in Tarakan. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of water treatment systems, supervising technical teams, maintaining equipment, and supporting both operational and commercial functions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct lab experiments to monitor and improve water treatment performance.
• Supervise and guide a team of technicians and operators in daily operations.
• Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in water treatment systems and processes.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Manage chemical inventory, including stock monitoring and ordering.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Support the commercial team with technical input and on-site assistance.
• Maintain and build strong relationships with users and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in industrial water treatment or process engineering.
• Proven ability to supervise technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of water treatment systems, lab testing, and chemical handling.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capable of preparing structured reports and managing inventory.
• Committed to health and safety compliance.
• Willing to be based in Tarakan and travel to client sites as needed.
