Agile Release Train (ART) Manager

Servant leader who manages Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and serves as a Process Lead to ensure consistent and effective execution of Agile practices across teams. Coordinates multiple Agile teams, ensuring alignment with SAFe practices and process governance. Participates in key ART events like PI Planning, removes impediments, manages risks, and drives continuous improvement. Facilitates the operations of an Agile framework while embracing its principles and mindset. Assists teams in reaching their highest performance level in the execution of workstreams and ensures process consistency and optimization across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Planning, scheduling, and facilitating the effective execution of Program Increments (PIs) across Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
- Coordinate and align multiple ARTs towards the delivery of a common solution.
- Ensure adherence to SAFe principles, practices, and processes, acting as a Process Lead to drive consistency and governance across teams.
- Foster an environment of self-organization, high visibility, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as an Agile Change Agent—coaching Agile teams into an understanding of the values, artifacts, and objectives of the operating framework with a lean mindset.
- Collaborate with Product Owners/Service Request Managers and stakeholders to ensure value is consistently delivered.
- Champion the removal of blockers and impediments, while facilitating the reduction of decision latency through clear and constant communication.
- Lead process improvement initiatives by capturing and aggregating data useful to team development and strategic decision-making.
- Support Agile teams in delivery of value and achievement of their objectives.
- Work with Management and Stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment.
- Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity.
- Act as a Process Lead to identify, document, and refine Agile processes, ensuring they are scalable, repeatable, and aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications:
- 7+ years of practical experience managing ARTs under Agile preferably SAFe (Scale of Agile Framework).
- Knowledge and proven skills in Agile Project Management.
- Highly organized, execution focused, accountable and driven.
- Strong skills in communication, risks assessment, change management, and stakeholder management.
- Technical knowledge with a desired emphasis on current industry trends including Agile development techniques.
- High energy, strong product passion and strategic thinker.
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to drive key decisions in a timely manner is critical.
- Outstanding collaboration skills and prior experience working in a geographically distributed organization.
- In-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies and their application to business opportunities.
- Agile and or SAFe certifications (e.g., CSM, POPM, SSM, RTE)
Summary Pay Range: $108,834.00 - $163,252.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
