Senior Design Engineer - Aeronautical Structures
We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer - Aeronautical Structures in Évora, Portugal. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of aeronautical structures using steel and composite materials. You will lead the design process using advanced CAD tools and ensure that components meet manufacturing and certification standards. Your work will directly support the structural integrity and buildability of critical aerospace components.
Your main tasks will be:
- Design and modeling of primary and secondary aircraft structures using steel and composite materials
- Ensure manufacturability, tolerancing, and design compliance with aerospace standards
- Use 3DEXPERIENCE, CATIA V5, and ENOVIA VPM to manage and deliver design work
- Collaborate with stress engineers, manufacturing teams, and certification engineers
- Create and review technical drawings, 3D models, and design documentation
- Participate in design reviews and support continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Deliver designs in alignment with project schedules and quality targets
