Custodial Manager

Sodexo is seeking our Custodial Manager to lead the team at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN. Our successful candidate will excel at building a cohesive team, developing individual talent and mentoring our frontline hourly staff into our next generation of salaried manager. Hours are typically 6:00am-3:00pm, M-F with the occasional night or weekend event.

What You'll Do

1. Ensure a safe working environment for all employees
2. Lead the Early Morning Shift in Custodial Management
3. Work 6:00am-3:00pm, primarily Monday-Friday with occasional events
4. Provide immediate response to client concerns
5. Develop improvement plans for any deficiencies
6. Be a critical thinker, adapt to a changing environment
7. Order and maintain proper levels of supply and equipment
8. Demonstrate willingness to perform at a high level in a team environment
9. Perform all trash and recycle removal on and at designated off campus sites
10. Provide a clean and safe environment for clients, customers, visitors, and staff
11. Manage a team of 20+ employees including timely interviewing and following procedures for hiring
12. Ensure customer satisfaction in housekeeping services, waste removal, and campus event management
13. Operate custodial equipment including but not limited to wet and dry vacuums, extractors, buffers, sprayers, auto scrubbers and electric carts

• Effectively manage Sodexo's SMS, CMMS and Operating Systems
• Train employees and provide inspections, evaluate success and challenges
• Build supply and inventory system - track consumables of custodial supplies
• Expertise in managing proper use of all tools including, chemicals, floor care equipment
• Have ability to work independently to drive program compliance for custodial department and motivate a diverse staff and by managing through shift supervisors
