Job Responsibilities – Counter Sales Associate (Plumbing Supplies)

Customer Service & Sales Support

Greet and assist customers at the sales counter, identifying needs and recommending products

Accurately process sales transactions and orders in the system

Provide technical information and solutions for plumbing-related projects

Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business

Order Processing & Inventory Management

Maintain organized product displays at the sales counter

Pull and prepare orders for customers promptly and accurately

Check stock levels and assist with ordering replenishment items

Assist with receiving, stocking, and inventory management

Product Knowledge & Recommendations

Stay informed on plumbing products, parts, and installation methods

Suggest complementary or alternative products to meet customer needs

Offer basic troubleshooting advice for plumbing-related issues

Qualifications – Who We're Looking For

Experience: Previous plumbing supply sales, counter sales, or wholesale/retail sales experience preferred

Knowledge: Familiarity with plumbing parts, tools, and supplies

Customer Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and accurate order entry

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Technical Skills: Basic computer skills for order entry and inventory look-up
