Engineering Manager, Site Reliability Engineering

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the SRE team within our Infrastructure & Production group. Site Reliability Engineering is responsible for our infrastructure development and maintenance. Our architecture consists of both cloud and bare metal solutions.

We believe in automating our infrastructure as much as possible and pursuing challenging problems in a sustainable and repeatable way. Currently, our infrastructure processes petabytes of data every month through thousands of servers and we are moving towards a Hybrid Cloud environment where we utilize the best of both worlds to build scalable production and development environments. Our team utilizes SRE and DevOps principles as our way of working.

As an Engineering Manager, you will be in charge of getting the best out of people, through coaching, 1:1s, helping them build a development plan and in general removing blockers from the team's path.

Our Toolchain

• Hybrid Cloud: 2500+ dedicated servers, supplemented with a mix of private and public cloud
• Infrastructure as code: Ansible, Terraform and CDK
• Kubernetes "the hard way" on 1500+ dedicated servers
• We also run supporting infrastructure like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Kafka, ElasticSearch, VictoriaMetrics, HAProxy and more

• Lead an autonomous SRE team. Lead by example.
• Help to drive Cloud strategy at a company wide level.
• Drive our infrastructure reliability, automation and operational efficiency.

• Tackle ambitious technical problems and add your mark to our Engineering culture. Help us grow.

What We're Looking For…

• You are an experienced people leader with proven ability in building and leading high-performing teams.
• You have built and maintained large-scale, high-availability distributed infrastructure.
• You have experience in various agile development practices as well as the pragmatism to know which tradeoffs are acceptable and a sharp focus on delivery.
• Ability to deliver constructive feedback that leads to meaningful changes and growth.
• You have experience and understanding how to run a 24/7 on-call team.
• You are a skilled engineer. You will need to be also hands-on when coaching the team members to new technical and professional heights, which can involve code reviews, infrastructure architect designs, etc.
• Ability and willingness to work from our Helsinki office three days a week.
