Marketing Operations Specialist

In this Marketing Operations Specialist role, you will take ownership of key projects that enhance and streamline our marketing technology ecosystem, including referral platforms, CRM, marketing automation, data systems, and internal tools. You will be responsible for designing efficient marketing processes and customer journeys, managing campaign execution, and ensuring smooth, compliant data exchange between marketing and sales teams.

You will combine hands-on implementation with strategic insight, using data-driven approaches to identify opportunities for improvement and optimise overall marketing performance. Collaborating closely with multiple teams and external vendors, you will play a vital part in introducing new tools and refining workflows to support business goals.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, process, and cross-functional collaboration - delivering practical solutions that drive measurable marketing impact.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead end-to-end initiatives—from gathering requirements with Sales and Marketing to designing processes and implementing solutions using the Martech stack.
  • Design, document, and evolve core marketing workflows (campaign briefing, data segmentation, journey building, deployment, and reporting).
  • Manage and optimise data handoff between marketing and sales to ensure seamless, automated, and compliant lead transfer with high data quality.
  • Build, test, and refine marketing automations and journeys across platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud CRM, referral and data platforms, Google Analytics), collaborating with specialist developers.
  • Operationalise new vendors and tools by driving onboarding, user access, training, and performance tracking in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Set KPIs, monitor tool impact, gather feedback, and iterate to maximise marketing efficiency while promoting data-driven decision-making, compliance, AI, and automation.
  • Drive cross-team collaboration, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and apply project management best practices in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proactive self-starter with strong organisational and project management skills, driving optimisation across tools, processes, and workflows.
  • Experienced in process mapping, journey design, workflow standardisation, and cross-functional collaboration (marketing, data, sales, compliance, tech).
  • Skilled in marketing platforms and tools, ideally Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud CRM, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Detail-oriented and solutions-focused, comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance (GDPR/PECR), preferably within B2B marketing landscapes.
  • Clear communicator, able to simplify complex processes and engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Hands-on experience with email/journey building in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement desirable; familiarity with HTML, AMPscript, and SQL is a plus.
