This role is for a Broadcast Support Team Lead. You will be leading a team of around 8 engineers, whose skill sets will span supporting MCR, Playout, OTT and DTH distribution. The successful candidate will line-manage the engineers on a day-to-day basis, managing and delegating workload. It is expected that there will be roughly a 50:50 split between engineering and management responsibilities. You will be able to confidently manage major incidents, dealing with stakeholders and making sure that Sky's services reach customers as intended. You will be working across all of Sky's output, including News, Sport and Entertainment.
The Origination & Distribution Shift Support team is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance of broadcast systems, equipment, software applications and networks to MCR, Playout and the Headend platform. This includes troubleshooting hardware/software issues as well as performing preventative maintenance on all related components.

Shift Pattern:
You will be required to work a shift pattern that covers a 7-day fortnight. This would normally comprise Week 1- Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun / Week 2 - Wed, Thu 12-hour days with one-hour break and on an early/late rotation.
