And we do it all right here at Sky. This role is for a Broadcast Support Engineer, initially focusing on the Distribution area (OTT, DTH, VOD). As part of the onsite support shift team, you will be looking after day-to-day systems and projects - from maintaining encoders & multiplexers, to reactive video & audio related technical issues. You will be working across all of Sky's output, including News, Sport and Entertainment.
The Origination & Distribution Shift Support team is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance of broadcast systems, equipment, software applications and networks to MCR, Playout, OTT and DTH. This includes troubleshooting hardware/software issues as well as performing preventative maintenance on all related components. The successful candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision while also being a team player to ensure the smooth operation of our broadcasting operations.
Shift Pattern: You will be required to work a shift pattern that covers a 7-day fortnight. This would normally comprise Week 1- Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun / Week 2 - Wed, Thu 12-hour days with one-hour break and on an early/late rotation.
