Food Service Attendant Lead - Fairchild AFB

Location: Airway Heights, Washington (FAFB)

Type: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-time, 11:30 am – 8:00 pm, Week Days and Weekends

Compensation: $20.77 - $20.77/hour

Tessera is seeking a motivated and hard working Food Service Worker-Lead with a positive/helpful attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Team Lead is responsible for leading the crew as a backup to the Food Service Manager but also is required to perform food services activities.
  • Assist Manager with ensuring all areas are clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly.
  • Assist Manager with ensuring quality service to meet the contract requirements.
  • Assist Manager with ensuring that QC inspections are corrected on time and followed up on.
  • Assist Manager with any scheduling as needed, including but not limited to covering shifts.
  • Assist Manager with training and coaching employees.
  • Responsible for various reports- i.e., schedules, training, attendance, evaluations, various employee documentations, correct time keeping, and accident reports.
  • Responsible for the issue, turn in & securing of all government and Skookum keys/vehicles/phones.
  • Ensure that buildings are secured and safety measures taken when exiting.
  • Participate with rehabilitation staff in development and monitoring of individual evaluations, assessments and or training programs.
  • Coach, mentor and resolve employee concerns in a respectful and mutually beneficial manner while adhering to a high confidentiality standard in all situations.
  • Monitor employees to ensure efficient use of time, performance and understanding of work tasks.
  • Record daily personnel attendance and track employee absences, tardiness, etc.
  • Monitor employee interactions and conduct, documenting misconduct on designated Skookum forms.
  • Wash, and store dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment following proper hygiene and safety standards.
  • Monitor and replenish supplies according to schedule.
  • Ensure timely and efficient removal of used dishware, utensils, and glassware to maintain a welcoming dining experience.
  • Clean tables and chairs in the dining facility after meal service.
  • Empty trash and recycle bins in dining facility and keep trash area clean.
  • Entrances and Exits Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean entry doors according to schedule.
  • Halls and High Traffic area Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule.
  • Perform cashiering duties as needed.
  • Communicating with customers – always be courteous and communicate in a professional manner when talking with customers.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
  • All Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

  • 6 months of food service experience preferred.
  • 6 months lead experience, preferably in a food service work setting.
  • Experience with scheduling, report documentation.
  • Work both independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
