Senior Industrial Engineer (Server Manufacturing)

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer in Whitsett, NC for a temp to hire opportunity. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Engineer to lead the optimization of manufacturing processes within a server production environment. This role is responsible for improving efficiency, productivity, and safety while reducing operational costs. The ideal candidate will mentor junior engineers, manage complex projects, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing workflows and identify bottlenecks across server production lines
• Design and implement optimized layouts, material flow strategies, and takt time balancing
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions and process documentation

Manufacturing Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Lead Kaizen events and apply Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as throughput, yield, cycle time, and labor efficiency
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain process improvements

Project Management

• Manage engineering projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with production goals and timelines
• Coordinate with production, quality, logistics, and IT teams to support new product introductions and process changes
• Track project milestones, budgets, and resource allocation

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Utilize data analytics tools to evaluate process performance and identify trends
• Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on improvement initiatives and operational metrics

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all engineering solutions comply with OSHA, ISO, and internal safety standards
• Support ergonomic assessments and risk mitigation strategies

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics or server manufacturing
• Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization tools
• Experience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SFDC)
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Minitab

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Familiarity with server components and rack-level integration
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
• Experience with automation and digital manufacturing technologies
