Customer Service Representative In Hammond, LA
We’re seeking a Customer Service Representative in Hammond, LA, to support incoming inquiries via phone, internet, or web portal. This role requires strong communication skills, a focus on problem-solving, and a commitment to providing excellent service in a high-accountability, continuous improvement environment.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Rate: $14/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, research, resolve, and/or escalate customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Understand needs to deliver high-quality support and improve productivity.
- Record and document all inquiries, actions, and resolutions using case management tools.
- Participate in cross-training opportunities and work with the Contact Center Manager to expand skill sets.
- Communicate professionally and cooperatively with peers, supervisors, and customers to maintain a safe and productive environment.
- Follow company policies and procedures, and maintain a commitment to safety and compliance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, (Associate degree or higher preferred.)
- Minimum of 2 years in a customer service or call center environment preferred.
- Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Accounts Payable, or Supply Chain is a plus.
- Strong listening, problem-solving, and time management skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional and collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in a structured, diverse environment.
- Skilled at building rapport, maintaining professionalism, and identifying when to escalate issues.
