Construction & Safety Manager

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Construction & Safety Manager for a high-impact capital project in San Jose, CA. This is 100 % onsite project. Pay: $95.33/hour Project: ~$25M capital project (8-month duration)

Summary: This role is responsible for overseeing construction management, safety, and quality for capital projects, including facility retrofits, cleanroom installations, and equipment installation within semiconductor R&D environments. The Construction & Safety Manager will serve as a key on-site leader, working closely with general contractors, EHS, and project teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and project specifications with a goal of zero incidents.
• Partner with contractors, EHS, and project teams to investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage daily coordination of construction activities to drive efficiency and schedule adherence.
• Review contractor schedules, progress, and performance; identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Oversee change management processes, including reviewing contractor proposals and supporting change order negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with all project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support permitting efforts, inspections, and coordination with engineers of record and local authorities.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections throughout all project phases.
• Facilitate safety meetings, project updates, and cross-functional coordination.
• Track and report KPIs including construction progress, safety metrics, and labor hours.
• Support contractor onboarding and ensure compliance with site requirements.

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of construction management experience, including commercial and cleanroom environments.
• Experience managing capital projects in the $10M+ range.
• OSHA 30 certification (required).
• Strong knowledge of construction safety, quality, and compliance standards (ASME, ACI, etc.).
• Experience with incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have experience working on projects in California.
