Account Manager

As an Account Manager with Singer Equipment Company, you will be part of an energetic team of salespeople whose mission is to serve and sell to our valued customers, create new relationships to develop business and increase your territory sales.

REMOTE but must live in the state of New Jersey, preferably Northern NJ.

Essential Functions

  • Live within the state of New Jersey.
  • Be part of an energetic, results-driven team of salespeople focused on selling to healthcare clients and developing new business opportunities to increase territory sales.
  • Foster and grow long-term relationships with healthcare facilities, including hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and other healthcare providers. Leverage Singer's full range of products and services to meet the unique needs of healthcare customers, including infection control solutions, foodservice equipment, and supplies.
  • Work with an internal support team to meet customer demands and maintain service excellence in this specialized sector.
  • Develop and grow sales in the healthcare segment, meeting budget and company goals.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with healthcare customers, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
  • Prospect and generate new business within healthcare facilities, creating a pipeline of leads and opportunities.
  • Schedule and attend client meetings both internally and externally to drive sales growth.
  • Work closely with other Singer employees and product specialists to provide the best solutions to healthcare clients.
  • Participate in internal calls, trainings, and sales meetings, and travel as required.
  • Utilize CRM and other technologies to track daily activities and sales progress.
  • Prepare quotes, enter orders, and follow up on transactions as needed.
  • Participate in the credit and collections process, requesting payments from clients as necessary.
  • Complete reporting and reviews on time and report weekly to the sales manager.
  • Participate in company objectives, shows, and campaigns as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A college degree or equivalent work experience in distribution sales or healthcare-related industries.
  • 4+ years of relevant sales experience in healthcare, medical supplies, or a related field.
  • Experience in healthcare with foodservice equipment sales is a plus!
  • A passion for the healthcare industry and an understanding of healthcare facilities' operational needs and hierarchy.
  • Comfortable entering and navigating healthcare environments, including hospitals, commercial kitchens, storerooms, and medical office facilities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and sales experience, especially in the healthcare industry, is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and a dependable vehicle to explore the territory and visit clients.
  • Ability to travel overnight or for multiple nights as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, walk, sit, stand, and drive for extended periods.
  • Ability to act safely in healthcare settings, with a knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work remotely or in-office, depending on customer needs.
  • Comfortable working in outside weather conditions and changing climates.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while keeping tasks organized.
  • A vibrant personality and acute attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to handle situations as they occur.
  • A goal-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter qualities.
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and efficiency.
