Provide case management, intervention and skills training for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) from enrolment through graduation and post-graduation transitions
Conduct needs assessment and ongoing review of students' special educational needs
Develop student learning support plans and provide consultation to academic staff on inclusive practices, reasonable adjustments, and accessibility considerations
Coach and empower students with SEN in self-advocacy, self-management, and independent navigation of academic and workplace environments
Support students with SEN in school-to-work transition, including internships, workplace accommodations and employer engagement
Administer SEN fund applications, and procurement of assistive technology devices and services for students with SEN
Document and maintain SEN data and records, including reports on SEN statistics and trends
Plan and coordinate programmes for students with SEN and stakeholders (e.g., educators, employers, parents) to promote inclusion in education and employment
Design, curate, and deliver training for academic staff to enhance competency in supporting students with SEN
Contribute to policy design, review and evaluation for SEN support
Research on emerging trends and developments in intervention strategies
Contribute to and support departmental projects, outreach efforts, events and initiatives that advance inclusion
Passion and disposition to work with students with SEN (Persons with disabilities are welcome to apply, please inform us if accommodations are required for the interview)
Relevant qualification in Inclusive and Special Education, Education, Psychology, Applied or Educational Psychology, Counselling and/or relevant areas
At least 3 years of experience supporting students with SEN, preferably in an educational or social service sector setting
Resourceful and good problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, learning and support needs, and collaboratively with different stakeholders in student support
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
