NEA's Waste Management Division (WMD) is responsible for the regulation of the waste management industry and implementation of key initiatives under the Zero Waste Master Plan, to achieve an efficient and sustainable waste-to-resource management system in Singapore. The Waste Regulation Department (WRD) in WMD administers the General Waste Disposal Facility licensing scheme, Mandatory Waste Reporting scheme, mandatory provision of recycling receptacles in all condominiums and private apartments, and the mandatory requirements for food waste segregation and treatment by large food waste generators. The department aims to achieve an efficient and sustainable waste-to-resource management system in Singapore.
You will work in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders to manage waste disposal and recycling facilities, in addition to undertaking projects to improve Singapore's recycling rate and resource circularity efforts. You will be responsible for the following:
Conduct research and data analysis on Singapore's waste and recycling statistics
We are looking for a candidate with a degree in Engineering in the field of, but not limited to, Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical and Electrical.
