We are currently recruiting for Maintenance Engineer at our Almere office in the Netherlands. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment and installations, ensuring safe, reliable and compliant operation within a regulated production environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience in a production environment, preferably within a regulated or medical manufacturing setting, and be able to work independently to diagnose and resolve equipment-related issues accurately and efficiently.

Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machines and installations
Diagnosing and resolving technical breakdowns during production to minimize downtime
Ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable and compliant with quality, safety and regulatory requirements
Documenting maintenance activities and reporting deviations in line with procedures and QMS requirements
Coordinating maintenance activities with external suppliers when required
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analyses
Performing facility-related maintenance tasks during periods of lower production pressure
Contributing to a clean, organized and safe production environment
Essential:
Completed MBO or HBO education in a relevant technical discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering)
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on technical experience in a production or industrial environment
Proven ability to independently troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment and installations
Strong mechanical and electrical technical knowledge
Experience working according to procedures, safety regulations and quality standards
Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and ownership
Good command of English and/or Dutch, both spoken and written
Desirable:
Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device industry (ISO 13485)
Experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS)
Familiarity with validation activities, root cause analysis and risk assessments
Experience coordinating maintenance activities with external suppliers
Experience with facility-related maintenance tasks or building systems

You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are comfortable diagnosing and resolving technical issues in a production environment. You work accurately and methodically, remain calm under pressure and have a strong focus on safety, quality and compliance. You communicate clearly with colleagues and external partners, take responsibility for your work and proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities while managing your workload effectively.
