To further support, enable and drive this journey we recently established a new Strategy & Insights team within the Product Development organization, which we are now expanding.

Strategy & Insights is a new team responsible for decision making support across the organization, from engineering managers and product managers to senior executives. We are on a journey to become much more data-driven and we are looking for a Data Engineer that can work as a Swiss army knife and help build the data foundation needed to drive insights.

We are looking for a bold and pragmatic problem-solver with a high enterprising spirit. You will work in an agile and international team delivering actionable insights to the business with much curiosity and fun.

Design, plan, develop, deploy, and maintain data products for our internal stakeholders

Build scalable data pipelines to support analytics and reporting needs in close collaboration with our BI developer and data analyst

Manage and expand our data stack in close collaboration with other teams across SimCorp. You will play a vital role in expanding our technological capabilities

Implement best practices for data quality, observability, and governance

Lay the foundation for data workflows, automation, and self-service as we scale

You bring 6+ years of experience as a senior-level contributor in data engineering, analytics, or BI product delivery

You're a Swiss Army knife of data: part architect, part engineer, part enablement lead

You've worked across the stack - from ingesting raw data to delivering polished data products and understand the importance of good data governance, orchestration, and monitoring

You're comfortable working with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, designing solutions that are scalable and pragmatic

You've worked in an agile setup and know when to ship and when to polish

You care deeply about data reliability and trust - and have a healthy obsession with naming conventions, documentation, and lineage

Experience with the Microsoft data stack (PowerBI and Azure services - Data Lake, Fabric/Synapse, Databricks) and/or Snowflake

Proficiency in SQL and Python; Scala or Spark is a bonus

Business fluency in English is required

Industry experience in software development and/or investment management is a plus
