This role is important to us because you will be a part of the team who develops the SimCorp Client Reporting software suite, part of the Data Communications offer. SimCorp Client Reporting is a best-in-class client communications and client reporting solution used by private wealth and asset management firms to increase operational efficiency, enhance client service and enrich client experience. SimCorp Client Reporting automates the business processes that generate personalized client reports, pitchbooks, client meeting packs and other client communications.
What you will be responsible for:
As a software engineer specializing in quality assurance, you will work within an agile development team to deliver enhancements to existing functionality, new features and to identify continuous improvements to the work processes. You will be involved in all phases of the development process, and your tasks will include requirements (use case) review, planning and writing test specifications, test execution, test automation and support.
What we require:
At least 5 years' experience in a full-time testing role working on complex systems (both web-based and desktop applications). Experience of manual functional testing. Comprehensive understanding of testing methodologies, principles, levels, types and techniques. Good test design skills and product documentation.
Experience with SQL, ability to write basic scripts to create and manipulate data. Experience with QA tools (e.g., Playwright, Postman) and API testing. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines client server architecture. Practical experience with automation frameworks or scripting. Good understanding of the development life cycle. High self-organization skills. Investment and effective communication skills. Demonstrated ability to enhance QA processes and establish quality guidelines. Experience working in Agile teams with a pragmatic, quality-focused mindset. Fluent in English language (verbal and written).
What is nice to have:
Experience with retrofitting automated tests to legacy systems. Experience with C# or other programming languages. Programming experience. Experience with reporting systems.
