Key Account Manager Public (Flanders)

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Key Account Manager Public (Flanders) in Belgium with Signify. The role focuses on managing and expanding public sector & sport lighting accounts, requiring both technical expertise and strong relationship-building skills to drive business development in a complex, multilingual environment. Success depends on navigating long sales cycles, influencing government stakeholders, and adapting to the processes of a large organization.

What You'll Do

Manage and develop a portfolio of public & sport sector lighting customers, taking over existing accounts and expanding business opportunities

Drive business development by educating customers on new strategic directions, systems, and services beyond traditional product sales

Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with public sector clients, including government stakeholders

Navigate long and complex public sales cycles, including influencing tender texts and working with governmental budget processes

Collaborate internally across a large and multi-national organization to leverage product, technical and support resources

More About You

While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:

Strong technical background, ideally with experience in lighting design or a related technical field; ability to understand and explain complex solutions

Proven ability or strong potential to transition into sales, especially in technical or solution-based environments

Fluency in Dutch and English, with good knowledge of French considered a plus due to the multilingual Belgian market

Ability to build trust and strong relationships with customers and internal teams demonstrating emotional intelligence and reliability

Be proactive in business development, educating customers on new solutions, and not just relying on existing products or accounts

Experience working in or adapting to large and structured organizations, especially coming from smaller companies
