Job Responsibilities
As the Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Strategic communication with internal stakeholders including Commercial Director, HWS and sales team to align goals, and with external partners including TMC to exceed expectations and drive account performance
- In the course of employment, to behave diligently to ensure due care for all stakeholders on the premises
- Source and develop new business. To promote foremost the services & facilities of the Malaysia properties & to cross-sell sister hotels under Hilton Worldwide
- Attend & actively participate in departmental communication meetings and nominated training sessions
- Ensure delivery of outstanding service to our customers
- To ensure minimum standards are met for both
- To work with Hotel Management and central support services to communicate changes in the local market conditions and provide effective and timely solutions to minimize any detrimental effects
- Ensure that ten (10) face to face meetings with clients are achieved each week and six (6) per day if conducting a sales trip or Sales Blitz campaign
- Represent Hilton Malaysia at tradeshows and on sales missions in key source markets, enhancing brand visibility and cultivating new business
- Initiate co-ordinate and conduct site inspections and familiarization trips from the designated marketplace. A minimum of 4 entertainment/tours of inspection per week across all properties. This may require you to work evenings and weekends
- Accurately identifies the level of influence and decision-making power of contacts in the customer organization and uses these to secure business
- To proactively identify and convert accounts currently serviced by competitors
- Reviews customer base to determine new opportunities for account penetration
- Provide timely updates to Director of Sales, Corporate, National Director of Sales, General Manager, Commercial Leaders and Director of Sales within the hotels on business opportunities, market trends, competitor activities etc.
- Contributes ideas to improve the products and services offered
- Assists in recruitment of individuals who have the potential to perform within the team
- Produces training and development plans for your direct reports
- Ensure planned training and development activities happen
- Regularly reviews and evaluates the impact training is having on performance at departmental, team and individual level
- Agrees, clarifies and implements Best Practice selling methods and procedures at all levels in the team to ensure business objectives are met
- Discusses and align SMART objectives with team, reviewing and updating in light of changes in the business, implementing corrective action where necessary
- Communicates regularly and on time verbally and non-verbally, providing individual team members with prompt and specific feedback on performance
- Fosters a positive and motivating environment that encourages individuals to perform at their best, while proactively minimizing conflict when it arises
Qualifications

- 3 years or above hotel sales and related experience.
- Good English and Chinese reading and writing skills to meet business needs.

- Have certain customer resources.
- Able to lead by example.
