Marketing Manager

We're currently recruiting a Marketing Manager to join our dynamic Sales & Marketing team at Hilton Adelaide. If you're passionate about driving brand visibility, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love creating impactful marketing strategies, we want to hear from you.

Hilton Adelaide is centrally located, overlooking Victoria Square. The hotel has 377 rooms ranging from guest rooms to the executive floor and suites. Hilton Adelaide offers unrivalled conference and events facilities comprising of 19 meeting rooms. It is the only 5-star hotel in Adelaide able to host 500 delegates to meet, eat and sleep, all under one roof.

What Will I Be Doing?

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, development, execution, and measurement of all marketing, branding, communications, and public relations activities for the hotel. This role ensures a strong, contemporary market presence, supports revenue objectives, and delivers consistent brand alignment across all guest and stakeholder touchpoints.

A key component of the role is leading brand creation and repositioning initiatives, including refurbishment communication and market perception management, as well as managing and developing the Marketing Executive to ensure consistent delivery of marketing initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Provide clear leadership, direction, and mentorship to the Marketing Executive.
  • Set priorities, allocate tasks, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Support the professional development and performance management of the Marketing Executive.
  • Foster strong collaboration between marketing, sales, and operational departments.

Marketing Strategy, Planning & Performance

  • Develop, implement, and manage the annual and quarterly marketing plan and budget, aligned with hotel business objectives.
  • Produce an annual marketing strategy, reviewing and adjusting throughout the year in line with forecasts, market conditions, and performance results.
  • Track, analyse, and report on marketing performance, advertising, and promotions, ensuring all activity delivers measurable ROI.
  • Produce weekly and monthly marketing performance reports.
  • Conduct weekly marketing meetings with operations and sales teams.

Brand Development, Repositioning & Standards

  • Lead the creation, launch, and ongoing management of the hotel brand, including branding from inception where required.
  • Define brand positioning, tone of voice, value proposition, and key messaging.
  • Oversee hotel repositioning and refurbishment communication strategies.
  • Develop and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all channels.
  • Communicate brand standards and updates to internal teams and ensure strong adoption across the business.
  • Monitor brand performance and market perception, refining strategy as required.

Marketing Communications & Collateral

  • Oversee the development and production of all marketing collateral, including hotel brochures, sales collateral, GSM communications, and advertising inserts.
  • Ensure all activity is brand-aligned, commercially focused, and has defined success measures.
  • Approve content and creative developed by the Marketing Executive.

Digital Marketing, Social Media & E-Commerce

  • Set the digital and social media strategy, ensuring alignment with commercial and brand objectives.
  • Oversee social media presence across all agreed platforms, including content cadence and engagement standards.
  • Review performance reporting and recommend optimisation strategies.
  • Oversee EDM strategy and campaign planning.
  • Manage website and e-commerce strategy, using data to drive improvements.

Public Relations & Media

  • Develop and lead the PR strategy in collaboration with the appointed PR agency.
  • Act as the primary liaison with external agencies, ensuring brand integrity and delivery against objectives.
  • Approve media releases and key messaging.
  • Oversee media visits, familiarisations, and major photoshoots.

Market Intelligence, Partnerships & Events

  • Analyse market intelligence from SATC, AEDA, BEA, Amadeus, Google Analytics, and other sources.
  • Build and maintain key partnerships, sponsorships, and Travel with Purpose initiatives.
  • Lead the planning and execution of major hotel events and activations.
  • Represent the hotel at relevant industry and networking events.

General

  • Perform other reasonable duties as required to support business objectives and deliver a first-class guest experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Strategic marketing and brand leadership
  • Proven experience managing or mentoring team members
  • Demonstrated experience in brand creation or major repositioning
  • Strong commercial and analytical capability
  • Excellent stakeholder, agency, and project management skills
  • Hospitality, tourism, or lifestyle marketing experience preferred

Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience, including leadership responsibility
